Make the perfect Mexican summer drink that's also perfect for occasions like Cinco de Mayo

  • 150 ml tomato juice
  • 4 grams chilli powder
  • 60 ml lime juice
  • 5 drops Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 drops hot sauce
  • 5 drops soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • ice cubes as required
  • beer of choice lighter ones are preferred over stouts


  • Mix together salt and chilli powder on a small plate
  • Moisten the rim of your glass with a lime wedge and coat it with the mixture of salt and chilli powder
  • Add tomato juice and lime juice and fill the glass with ice cubes
  • Add drops of Worcestershire, soy and hot sauces and any remaining chilli powder
  • Top it up with a beer of your choice
  • Stir all the ingredients together and drink immediately
