June 8 is celebrated as International Gin Day and true to tradition, the revolution in the gin industry is evident with multiple restaurants hosting gin-themed events across Mumbai. We’ve curated the best of these events to ensure you pick the best ones to go to.

Toast and Tonic

You can’t deny the role of Toast and Tonic in bringing about gin’s renaissance. It’s only natural the place would celebrate International Gin Day. Gin guru John Leese has a line-up of five stellar gin cocktails over the weekend to ring in Gin Day on June 8. With botanicals like lavender, hibiscus and macadamia nuts, we’re itching to try these creative cocktails. And oh, you get two free cocktails if you try at least four gin cocktails. Move over sangrias, June 8 is International Gin Day celebrations at Uno Más with mixologist Arijit Bose who’s curating a special gin menu along with Greater Than Gin. As a member of the Barback Collective, Bose knows a thing or two about how cocktails work, making this particular event all the more crackling.

The Sassy Spoon

The Sassy Spoon is organising a Ginology 101 workshop with mixologist Pranav Mody on June 8. Participants will learn the basics of gin and gain an understanding of its various taste notes. A hands-on masterclass, sampling session with gin cocktails along with a complimentary cocktail and an appetizer are also part of the workshop. The workshop is priced at INR 1500 and tickets can be purchased here.

You know gin has arrived when even The Irish House sits up and takes notice. The popular brewpub has curated an exclusive G&T menu that will be available from June 8 until June 16, 2019. That’s not all – Bacardi India’s trade ambassador Omkar Kalaskar is also conducting a Gin Infusions Masterclass at the Kala Ghoda outpost on June 8.
