Nayan Shah is a happy man as he shows us around the latest outpost of Drifters Breweries in suburban Bandra in Mumbai amidst the returning hustle and bustle of the city post lockdown. As we settle in for a chat, Shah talks about the lockdown and how beer had to be spilt as they went bad, how the other outpost in a business district is still struggling to return to pre-pandemic numbers before talking about the growler policy and its benefits for both, beer lovers and craft beer makers in the state.
We also discuss the state of play between craft breweries in Mumbai and Bengaluru, beer trends and also how the brewery came to be called Drifters.
