Manhattan Recipe

This whisky classic has dipped in and out of fame before finding its way into the craft cocktail renaissance that lead to its immortality. It is arguably the most popular of the 5 cocktails named after New York City boroughs. There are multiple variations, all just as classic as the original Manhattan.
Ingredients:
60ml Bourbon
30ml Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Method: Put all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with some ice and stir well. Then fine strain it into a pre-chilled cocktail glass. Add the cherry on top!
Style: Stirred
Garnish: Maraschino/Brandied Cherry
Glassware: Cocktail glass
Additional Notes: Add rye whisky instead of bourbon for spiciness. Here’s something even better – add Scotch instead of Bourbon and you’ve got yourself a Rob Roy. Canadian whisky has become an increasingly popular alternative too!
